Man Attempts to Rob a Victorville Gas Station

VICTORVILLE:(VVNG.com)- Police are searching for a suspect in connection with an attempted robbery at a Chevron gas station early Friday morning.
On June 24th just before 3:30 a.m. dispatch received a 911 call reporting a subject attempted to rob a gas station located on the 14200 block of Bear Valley Road.
Per scanner traffic, the male employee was occupied cleaning the restroom when he heard a loud bang. As the employee walked out to investigate the sound he witnessed an unidentified subject running out the front door.
According to an anonymous source, store surveillance showed the suspect leaped over the counter, carrying what appeared to be a large gun and attempted to smash open the register several times.
The suspect was unable to get the register to open and eventually fled towards the front door.
The suspect is described as male about 6’0″, 170 lbs., wearing a black hoody, blue pants, and a green bandana over his face.
