Police search for suspect who pulled a gun on man walking down I Ave in Hesperia

HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) — The Hesperia police department is investigating after a man walking had a gun pointed at him, officials said.
It happened on Sunday, May 19, 2019, at about 4:10 pm., near the intersection of I Avenue and Preston Street.
Deputy Strathmann responded and learned that while the victim was walking passed Mark’s Liquor store, a tan Chevrolet S10 pulled up behind the victim.
Sheriff’s spokesman Edgar Moran said the vehicle then drove next to the victim when the driver, a white male adult wearing a black hat, dirty blonde hair, approximately 19 years old, pulled a gun on the victim and pulled the trigger.
“Per the victim, the gun misfired and the subject cleared the gun twice after the misfire,” stated Moran.
The subject then drove away from the location heading northbound.
Moran said this is still an ongoing investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the Hesperia station at (760)947-1500.
