Police Officer Arrested for Sexually Explicit Texts Sent to a Victorville Girl

VICTORVILLE-(VVNG.com): A 47-year-old Valejo Police Officer was arrested on Tuesday morning for allegedly sending sexually explicit text messages and inappropriate photos to a 12-year-old Victorville girl.

On the morning of Tuesday, August 25th detectives from the Victorville Police Department, and the California Highway Patrol served search warrants in Napa Valley.

These search warrants resulted in the arrest of Tracy Patrick Zinkovich for harmful matter sent to a minor and contact of minor with intent to commit a sexual offense.

The investigation stems back to a May 2014 report made to the Victorville Police Department indicating that the 12-year-old girl was receiving sexually explicit text messages and inappropriate photos of an (at the time) unknown male subject. Through an extensive investigation the suspect was identified as Zinkovich.

Zinkovich, a Napa State Hospital Police Officer had a search warrant served at both his job and his Valejo, Ca home. Several electronic devices were collected as evidence during the search.

Zinkovich was interviewed and subsequently arrested, transported and booked into the Napa County Jail. He will be transported to San Bernardino County on Wednesday August 26th where he will be booked into the West Valley Detention Center. He is due to appear at the Victorville Superior Court for an arraignment hearing on Thursday, August 27th.
