Police Investigate Adelanto Shooting; Victim Airlifted

ADELANTO, Calif. (VVNG.com) A man suffering from gunshot wounds was airlifted to a trauma center Monday night.

Deputies were dispatched to the Sonterra Apartments Homes located on the 11200 block of Chamberlain Way at approximately 8:06 p.m. and located a black male adult who had been shot.

The male was transported by ground ambulance to a landing zone and then transferred to a trauma center by Mercy Air.

San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Spokeswoman Cindy Bachman told Victor Valley News no suspect information has been provided at this time.

Circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear. His condition is unknown at this time.

The immediate area was closed off with crime scene tape, and detectives are on scene investigating.

The Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station is handling the investigation.
