Police arrest parole who threatened to shoot Walmart employees

APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A 29-year-old Los Angeles man out on parole was re-arrested after he threatened to shoot several people, officials said.
The suspect, Tykee Saxton, 29, and a female were involved in an argument in the parking lot of a Walmart on Highway 18 in Apple Valley on October 25, 2018.
According to a sheriff’s news release, the female was desperately trying to get away from the male. “Multiple callers reported the male threatened to shoot store employees who attempted to intervene on behalf of the female,” stated the release.
At about 9:45 am, deputies responded to the scene and arrived within minutes, but Saxton had already left the location in a grey Chrysler 300 sedan.
Police found the abandoned Chrysler in the 13000 block of Mohawk Road. Inside the car, deputies found a realistic looking Air Soft Pistol, officials said.
Deputies captured Saxton nearby and positively identified him as the suspect. Officials said he was found to be a wanted felon with a No Bail warrant for Parole Violation.
Saxton was transported to the High Desert Detention Center and booked for Felony Criminal Threats and Parole Violation.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact Deputy Jasen Malocco or Sergeant James R. Evans at the Apple Valley Sheriff’s Station (760) 240-7400.
