Police arrest attempted murder suspect in Adelanto

ADELANTO, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A 25-year-old documented gang member out of Pomona and a convicted felon, was arrested for attempted murder in Adelanto, officials said.

On Friday, February 21, 2020 deputies from the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to the 11000 block of White Avenue regarding a shooting.

According to a sheriff’s news release, the male victim feared for his life and ran to a local store and requested help.

“When deputies arrived at the location of the shooting, they found several fired cartridge casings and fired bullet strikes. During the investigation, Kenzel Davis was identified as a suspect, and an arrest warrant was issued for him,” stated the release.

Deputy Katie Merrill was on patrol on February 27th when she saw the wanted suspect enter a local convenience store.

Merrill arrested Davis, without incident, for his active attempted murder warrant. He was booked at the High Desert Detention Center where he is currently being held in lieu of $1,000,000.00 bail.

Kenzel Davis, who is a documented gang member out of Pomona and a convicted felon, was out on bail for two previous arrests, which included felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance while armed with a firearm at the time he committed this crime.
