Police arrest Apple Valley 7-11 employee for grand theft

APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A former employee working for an Apple Valley 7-11 was arrested for grand theft, officials said.

Deputies responded to the location in the 17900 block of State Highway 18 in Apple Valley on April 30, 2018.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman Joy Ballinger said they were dispatched to the 7-11 reference an employee stealing from the business.

Deputies made contact with Shela Lewis Dashauno, 38, of Apple Valley aka as ‘Tyra Bagby’ and arrested her for PC487(A) grand theft. “The total loss to [the] 7-11 was in excess of $2,000.00,” stated Ballinger.

According to public arrest records, ‘Tyra Bagby’ was also temporarily held due to a PC484(a) shoplifting charge out of Los Angeles County. She was released from jail on May 1, 2018, and has no scheduled court appearance.
