Pilot Killed in Hesperia Airport Crash ID’d

HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) The San Bernardino Coroners office has identified the man killed in Tuesday mornings plane crash as Robert Alexander, 55, a resident of Hesperia.

Alexander was the solo pilot of a Quickstar MXL II, an ultra light sports aircraft which crashed at about 10:00 a.m., on March 7th.

According to the coroners release, after taxing down the Hesperia Airport runway, Alexander became airborne for a short period of time before going into aerodynamics stall, and crashed in a field, north of the airport.

Alexander was pulled from the aircraft and was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
