APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) Authorities are searching for Dearld Edward Wicker, 41 years old, a resident of Apple Valley, who is wanted for shooting a man in a Target parking lot Monday afternoon.
Apple Valley Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Target on 20288 State Highway 18 at around 5:22 p.m., for reports of a fight between several subjects.
Upon arrival they located a man suffering from a gunshot wound, and began searching for suspect that fled the scene. Through investigation the suspect was identified as Wicker.
“During the argument Wicker produced a small caliber handgun and fired several shots at the victim, striking him in the head once. Wicker fled the location in a black Ford Bronco and remains outstanding,” Sheriff’s officials said.
The adult male victim was transported to a local hospital and then airlifted to a trauma center with non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators are asking for the public’s help in locating additional witnesses and/or information regarding the whereabouts of Dearld Wicker.
