Phelan woman arrested on suspicion of stabbing, killing boyfriend

PHELAN, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A Phelan woman was arrested in connection with the murder of her 54-year-old boyfriend Wednesday, authorities said.
Yvonne Cassady, 56, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of murder, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. She is being held without bail.

“When deputies arrived lifesaving measures were being performed, however, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene,” stated a sheriff’s news release.
Sheriff’s Homicide Detectives responded to conduct the investigation. Following the investigation, Detectives arrested the victim’s girlfriend, Yvonne Cassady.
Cassady was booked at West Valley Detention Center for Murder and is expected to be arraigned on February 4, 2019, in Victorville courtroom.
The name of the victim is being withheld pending family notification
