Phelan Mother Arrested For Child Abuse

PHELAN, Calif:(VVNG.com)– The District Attorney’s office has filed two felony counts of child abuse against a 27-year-old Phelan woman identified as Amanda Blaylock, authorities said.
The report was made on November 28th, 2016 by the school where the children attend. Victor Valley Sheriff’s Phelan-sub station received an immediate response referral from Division of Children and Family Services regarding abuse to two children.
Deputy Wendy Perea responded to the school and made contact with the children. Through her investigation, Deputy Perea learned the suspected abuse was caused by their mother, Amanda Blaylock.
According to a Sheriff’s press release, the two children and younger sibling, ages 9, 6 and 1, were removed from the home and placed in the care of Children and Family Services. The injuries the children received did not require medical attention.
Blaylock was later contacted at the school and arrested on charges of child abuse. Blaylock was booked at High Desert Detention Center where she is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
On November 30, 2016 the Victorville District Attorney’s Office filed two felony counts of child abuse against Blaylock.
