ADELANTO-(VVNG.com): San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials said in a press release that a new home development has been delayed for an Adelanto construction site following recent thefts.
The DR Horton Construction site in the area of Verbena and Palmdale Roads has reported numerous thefts of tractors, batteries, fuel, copper wire and other miscellaneous materials. These thefts not only delayed the construction, but also cost local business’ thousands of dollars in repair and replacement of materials.
On Monday, August 31st two suspects were located stealing heavy equipment, batteries and other materials from the site.
The suspects, both Phelan residents, identified as 24-year-old Robert Christopherson and 28-year-old Timothy Kraayenbrink were booked at the High Desert Detention Center for charges of Possession of Stolen Property and Grand Theft.
Christopherson is due in court on September 3rd and Kraayenbrink is scheduled for a September 11th court date.
