Phelan Man Arrested For Receiving Stolen Property

PHELAN, Calif. (VVNG.com)- Rogelio Celso Hermosillo, 23, a resident of Phelan was arrested for receiving stolen property, authorities said.
On Tuesday, January 24, 2017, Deputy Molly Leiker of the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station conducted a check of a vacant residence in the 4300 block of Phelan Road. During this security check, household items were found inside the residence which appeared to have been recently brought to the location.
On Wednesday, January 24, 2017, Deputy Leiker was dispatched to a report of a residential burglary from a residence which had occurred sometime since January 20, 2017. During the investigation of the burglary, Deputy Leiker recognized the items reported as stolen as those seen the day before.
Deputy Leiker was able to return stolen property located at the vacant residence to the property owner. Through investigation, it was determined Rogelio Hermosillo was in the process of installing the stolen property at the vacant residence.
Hermosillo was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center where he is being held in lieu of $10,000 bail.
