Phelan man, 45, arrested for attempted murder

EL MIRAGE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Deputies with the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station arrested a 45-year-old Phelan man for attempted murder.
It happened on October 21, 2018, in the 1400 block of El Mirage Road in El Mirage.
Sheriff’s spokeswoman Staci Parks told Victor Valley News, the suspect, identified as Ming Liang Lu, went to the victim’s residence uninvited.
“An argument ensued between the two, and the suspect threatened to kill the victim. The suspect fired several shots at the victim, one of which struck him in his back near the right shoulder,” stated Parks.
The victim, a 44-year-old resident of Phelan was airlifted to the to receive treatment for his gunshot wound. No update on his condition was available.
Ming was booked into the High Desert Detention Center for Attempted Murder with a bail set at $1 million dollars. He is scheduled for arraignment in a Victorville courtroom on October 25, 2018.
