Woman Airlifted After Crash on Deep Creek Road

APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) A woman was airlifted following a traffic collision Monday afternoon.

At about 2:36 p.m. dispatch received reports of a two-vehicle traffic collision with extrication at the intersection of Deep Creek and Rock Springs Roads in Apple Valley.

For reasons still unknown, a Ford F-350 and a Nissan Altima collided leaving the female driver of the sedan trapped in her vehicle.

It took firefighters with the Apple Valley Fire Protection District approximately 20 minutes to extricate the woman from the Nissan.

Per scanner reports, firefighters requested an air ambulance to airlift the woman described as being critically injured.

The male driver of the Ford pickup truck sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital as a precaution.

County Roads was also requested to respond for a downed light pole at the intersection.
