Pedestrian Sustains Life-Threatening Injuries After Being Struck By Vehicle

APPLE VALLEY-(VVNG.com): One person was airlifted with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle on Highway 18 Saturday night.
Just before 8:50 p.m., per scanner traffic, a gray GMC Envoy struck at least one pedestrian on Highway 18 near Navajo Road.
Emergency personnel arrived on scene shortly after the report to find the badly injured pedestrian.
The patient was transported by ground ambulance to St. Mary’s Hospital and was subsequently airlifted to Antelope Valley Hospital.
The cause of the collision is currently under investigation by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) . Information will be updated as it becomes available.
