
VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A 28-year-old pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Saturday night along Palmdale Road remains in critical condition, officials said.
It happened at about 9:35 pm, in the 12600 block of Palmdale Road, east of US Highway 395 in Victorville.
Deputies arrived on scene and located the male victim down in the roadway along the shoulder of eastbound lanes unresponsive.
San Bernardino County Firefighters requested a medical helicopter to airlift the pedestrian to an out of area trauma center. Sheriff’s spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez said, as of Tuesday morning the pedestrian remained in critical condition.
The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities as they conducted interviews and a field sobriety test. Speed or alcohol was not believed to be factors in the collision.
