Pedestrian struck by hit-and-run driver on National Trails Highway, airlifted

ORO GRANDE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A pedestrian struck by an alleged hit-and-run driver was airlifted to a trauma center early Tuesday morning.

At about 5:02 am on July 23, 2019, Victorville City Fire was requested to respond to a vehicle versus pedestrian on National Trails Highway and Barbosa Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol incident logs, a male was reported laying in the roadway and was possibly struck by an unknown type vehicle.

The pedestrian, approximately 40 years of age was transported by ground ambulance to Victor Valley Global Medical Center. He was subsequently airlifted to an out of area trauma center via helicopter Reach H325. His injuries were not known.
