Pedestrian Struck and Killed on Amethyst Road in Victorville Friday

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) – A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a vehicle on Friday night in Victorville.

The collision occurred at approximately 8:01 p.m. at the intersection of Amethyst Road and Ironstone Avenue.

Emergency services, including the Victorville Fire Department, and the Victorville Police Department were dispatched to the scene. Despite first responders attempting lifesaving measures, the pedestrian was declared dead at the scene.

Officials reported that the driver of a Chevy 4-door sedan in the accident stayed and cooperated with the ongoing investigation.

The impact of the collision was evident as both the front and rear windshields of the vehicle were shattered.

Not far from the scene, a wagon containing the pedestrian’s possessions was found. It appears the pedestrian was a transient.

The Victorville Police Department is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. As of now, no additional details have been released to the public.
