Pedestrian Hit on Highway 18 in Lucerne Valley

LUCERNE VALLEY, CA:(VVNG.com)– A male was airlifted to a trauma hospital after he was struck by a vehicle on Saturday night.
Officers from the California Highway Patrol responded to the vehicle vs pedestrian call at 8:05 p.m. on October 1st in the area of Highway 18 and Oxbow Road.
According to Officer Grieves, the 28-year-old male transient was struck by a 2002 silver Dodge Neon driven by a 55-year-old female from Lucerne Valley.
Per CHP incident logs, the male jumped in front of the vehicle traveling westbound on Highway 18.
The male was airlifted to a trauma hospital with unknown injuries.
