Pedestrian fatally struck on 15 Freeway in Victorville near Palmdale Road

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A pedestrian was struck and killed on the 15 freeway in Victorville, prompting the closure of two lanes.

The victim was struck in the northbound lanes just south of the Palmdale Road overpass sometime before 3:30 a.m. Sunday morning. The unidentified individual died at the scene.

Victor Valley News was unable to immediately confirm what type of vehicle(s) involved or if the driver remained at the crash site, as officials from the California Highway Patrol were not immediately available for media inquiries.

As of 5:00 a.m, the #1 and #2 lane remained closed. It’s unknown how long the closure will last.
