Pedestrian Airlifted After Hit-and-Run in Apple Valley

APPLE VALLEY: (VVNG.com)- A pedestrian sustained life threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle that left the scene.
At about 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 9th dispatch responded to the AMPM on Bear Valley and Kiowa Roads.
Per scanner traffic, a Dodge Ram truck intentionally struck a pedestrian and fled the scene.
At approximately 2:15 a.m. Deputies located the suspect vehicle on Main Street near Timberlane Avenue in Hesperia.
Deputies initiated a felony traffic stop on the vehicle occupied by multiple subjects that were detained without further incident.
Authorities confirmed the vehicle had front end driver side damage.
Due to the pedestrians injuries an air ambulance was requested. The patient was transported by ground ambulance to Desert Valley Hospital and later airlifted to a trauma hospital.
