Pedestrian Airlifted After Hit-And-Run Crash in Victorville

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG) Sheriffs are actively searching for a vehicle that struck a

pedestrian and fled the scene Sunday night.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Hesperia Road and Bear Valley Road.

The suspect vehicle is described as an older model gray Toyota Corolla with black rims that fled eastbound on Bear Valley Road.

“I heard a boom and thought it was an accident between two vehicle’s; that’s how loud it sounded,” said Bobby Williams, 29, of Hesperia. “I ran over to the lady, and she had head injuries and didn’t look too well.”

The female pedestrian was transported to Desert Valley Medical Center and then airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.

The vehicle sustained damage to the front left bumper and a shattered windshield, according to a witness.

Authorities are investigating the incident and are actively searching for the suspect.

UPDATE: The suspect’s vehicle was located on the 17400 block of Sequoia Ave in Hesperia in a parking lot. The suspect was subsequently located and placed under arrest.
