VICTORVILLE, CALIF.(VVNG.com)- A 39-year-old pedestrian was airlifted with serious injuries after being struck by a pickup truck.
On Thursday, November 10, 2016, at approximately 6:09 a.m., deputies from the Victorville Police Department responded to a traffic collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle, on Bear Valley Road near Seventh Avenue.
According to authorities, a Nissan pickup truck operated by a 32-year-old male was traveling northbound on Bear Valley Road. A male pedestrian dressed in dark clothing attempted to cross Bear Valley Road in an area that was not designated as a crosswalk.
The driver was unable to stop his Nissan Pickup truck in time and collided with the pedestrian. The pedestrian suffered head injuries and was airlifted to a local hospital. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
The Victorville Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) is investigating the collision.
