CLARK COUNTY: (VVNG.com)- The California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino County Fire, and the Clark County Fire Department responded to a traffic collision on the northbound 15 freeway involving two semis.
The crash was reported at 9:34 P.M., between Yates Well Road about 5 miles south of the California/Nevada border.
For reasons still under investigation, a semi with a car hauler weighing around 78,000 pounds jackknifed causing a crash with a second semi.
Upon arrival, San Bernardino County Fire located the major damage collision and another vehicle on its roof. Per CHP incident logs, the vehicle fell from the car hauler.
According to scanner traffic, one patient was pinned inside the semi and required extrication. The extrication was completed by 10:33 PM.
An air ambulance was requested to transport the seriously injured patient. The patient was airlifted to University Medical Center in Las Vegas with unknown injuries.
Those traveling in the area can expect traffic delays while the crash is cleaned up.
