The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Parks Bureau took another step of improving their ability to maintain the safe environment at Pyramid Lake by adding two Personal Water Craft (PWC) vehicles to their fleet.
With the large influx of visitors riding PWC’s at Pyramid Lake each season; this versatile tool will prove itself to be invaluable with enforcement of maritime laws and keeping lake patrons safe on the water.
Not only are the PWC’s excellent enforcement tools but they will soon be outfitted with rescue sleds, enabling lake Parks Bureau personnel to safely retrieve the numerous victims that end up in the water and need assistance at Pyramid Lake each year. The PWCs reduce risk and injury to personnel and patients during rescue operations.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Parks Bureau is dedicated to providing a safe and drug free environment at all Los Angeles County Parks.
