Paintball Attacks Reported Across Victor Valley as Residents Warn of Vehicle Strikes

VICTOR VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Several Victor Valley residents are speaking out after their vehicles were struck by paintballs in a string of similar incidents reported over the past week.
The most recent report came from Normey Hill, a member of the Victor Valley News Facebook group, who warned others to be cautious after her car was targeted late Thursday night, January 22, 2026.
“There’s some idiots driving with their lights off,” Hill wrote in a public post shared Friday. “As I was driving east on Palmdale last night, I saw a car with its lights off, and then sure enough I heard a big bang… I was shot with a paintball. It was hard to see the model & color of the vehicle that hit me… Just be careful.”
The day prior, on January 21, another group member, Norma Armenta, posted about a similar incident involving her husband’s car.
“Please be alert. My husband’s car was just shot with a paintball gun while driving westbound on Yucca Loma Rd by the fire station,” Armenta stated. “He wasn’t sure what had hit the car till he parked to check it out… Just be careful while driving.”
Multiple others responded to the thread, saying their cars were also hit by paintballs while driving at night in different parts of the Victor Valley.
Ashley Stewart said she heard a bang Tuesday night and later found paint on her driver’s side door the next morning. “Luckily it came right off with the hose,” she noted.
Vivian Marion and Richard Hill both shared photos showing yellow paint splattered across their vehicles. “The same thing happened to me, scared the crap out of me,” Marion commented.
Lupe Gonzales added that she was traveling on Mojave Drive on Thursday when a paintball struck her driver’s-side window.
The paint used in all reported incidents appears to be the same bright neon yellow, based on photos shared by victims.
It remains unclear whether the same individuals are responsible for all the incidents, but the similarity in tactics has raised community concern.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Victorville Police Department at 760-241-2911.
