CAJON PASS-(VVNG.com): All southbound lanes of the I-15 near Cleghorn were closed at about 6:35 p.m. for nearly an hour due to a two major injury traffic collision.
At about 6:12 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2nd dispatch received multiple reports of an overturned semi-truck and flatbed trailer blocking bypass lanes of traffic.
The CHP Spokesman, Officer B. Alvarez told Victor Valley News that the Big Rig was traveling southbound, when for unknown reasons it lost control striking several other vehicles. The Big Rig with the flatbed trailer eventually overturned causing the trailer to block the bypass lanes.
The trailer landed on top of a Ford truck, driven by a female that later complained of pain.
CHP logs indicate that the driver of the big rig was ejected and was located in the center divider, but at this time that is still under investigation. The male big rig driver sustained major life-threatening injuries and was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for treatment.
At this time there are no updates regarding the condition of those injured.
Traffic was diverted on the Cleghorn during the duration of the Sigalert causing major slowing for drivers.
