APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) — An overturned tractor trailer has prompted officials to shut down the northbound I-15 near Wild Wash Road Tuesday morning.
At about 5:46 am motorist traveling north on the I-15 near the Wild Wash Road offramp came to a halt when a traffic accident involving a semi and two vehicles occurred.
Firefighters responded and assisted with minor extrication on the driver of the semi, his injuries were minor.
Traffic is jammed for several miles. As of 7:30 am a heavy-duty tow truck was on scene working to clear the roadway.
Motorist are reporting a 1 hour-delay to get thru the area.
The semi was reported to be hauling 33,000 lbs. of ginger ale. An approximate 10 gallons of diesel/antifreeze spilled into the center divider.
