Over 600 images and videos of child pornography found on Hesperia man’s cell phone

FONTANA, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Police arrested a 33-year-old Hesperia man for distributing child pornography and found over 600 images and videos on his cell phone, officials said.

The suspect, 33-year-old Brian Jay Nelson, was arrested and booked at West Valley Detention Center for possession and distribution of child pornography on September 11, 2019.

According to a news release, on August 21, 2019, Detectives with the Fontana Police Department Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force learned Nelson was downloading and distributing images and videos of child pornography over the internet.

At about 10:00 am the Fontana Police Department Fugitive Apprehension Team served a search warrant at a residence in the 16300 block of Adolia and took Nelson into custody.

“During the service of the search warrant, the suspect’s family was very uncooperative until they discovered the nature of the investigation,” stated the release.

Officials said Nelson was found to be in possession of numerous files depicting graphic child pornography totaling in excess of 600 images and videos on his cellular telephone.

Nelson’s bail is set at $75,000 an is scheduled for pre-preliminary arraignment in a Victorville courtroom on September 13th.
