Over 200 gallons of egg spill onto I-40 after crash

LUDLOW, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Over 200 gallons of liquid eggs have spilled onto Interstate 40 after two semis were involved in a traffic collision.
At about 7:45 am, on Friday, May 10, 2019, scanner traffic reported a crash involving two semis on the westbound I-40 near mile marker 39.
According to the California Highway Patrol incident logs, a semi involved in the crash is hauling 35000 lbs. of eggs.
Victor Valley News Group member Shayne Sanchez commented and said he drove past the accident. “Looks like the egg truck rear ended a flat bed and there was all kids of stuff pouring out on the road. NO YOLK !!!!”
Extra absorbent was requested for eggs leaking on the roadway and for 200 gallons of liquid eggs on the right shoulder, stated the chp incident logs.
Only minor injuries were reported.
The crash is blocking the slow lane and CHP is investigating the EGGcident.
