Oro Grande Man Arrested For Robbery

ORO GRANDE, Calif. ( Michale Frank Mancillas, 23, a resident of Oro Grande was arrested after threatening the victim with a knife to steal his cell phone.

On Sunday, November 27, 2016, Deputy Lance Williams of the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station was dispatched to a report of a robbery which had occurred in Oro Grande.

The victim reported to Deputy Williams he was approached by the suspect, Michael Mancillas. Mancillas brandished a knife and demanded the victim’s cell phone. The victim complied and was not injured during the robbery.

On Thursday, January 26, 2017, Deputy Williams received information on the whereabouts of Mancillas. Mancillas was contacted and arrested without incident. Mancillas was booked into the High Desert Detention Center where he is being held on $150,000 bail.
