VICTOR VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A weeklong crime suppression effort targeting gang members and prohibited firearm possessors across the Victor Valley and Fontana resulted in nine felony arrests and the seizure of three firearms, authorities said.
Between Feb. 2, 2026, and Feb. 8, 2026, investigators from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department – Gangs/Narcotics Division, along with deputies from local patrol stations and partnering agencies, served five search warrants in Adelanto, Apple Valley, Hesperia, Victorville and Fontana as part of “Operation Consequences.”
According to a written statement from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, investigators contacted gang members and individuals prohibited from possessing firearms during the one-week enforcement period. Three firearms were seized, and nine felony arrests were made.
The San Bernardino Movement Against Street Hoodlums (SMASH) Street Enforcement Team also conducted proactive patrols throughout the Victor Valley and surrounding jurisdictions during the operation.
Operation Consequences was launched after the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors authorized funding for countywide crime suppression efforts. The funding is intended to provide additional law enforcement services to address quality-of-life issues impacting communities across the county.
The operation focused on targeted enforcement in the High Desert and in the Sheriff’s jurisdiction surrounding the city of San Bernardino.
Participating agencies include the Sheriff’s Gangs/Narcotics Division, Specialized Enforcement Division, patrol stations, California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino Police Department, San Bernardino County Probation and the Department of Homeland Security Investigations.
According to the written statement, Operation Consequences will continue over the next several months as authorities work to curb violent crime, disrupt and dismantle criminal street gangs, and locate and arrest individuals who are illegally possessing, manufacturing and trafficking firearms.
