UPDATE: The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased as Joanna Guttierez, 24, a resident of Rialto.
LYTLE CREEK, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A single-vehicle car accident along Lytle Creek Road resulted in a fatality on Friday night.
The incident was reported around 8:20 p.m. on August 2, 2024, approximately 2-3 miles north of Glen Helen Parkway.
According to California Highway Patrol (CHP) logs, preliminary reports indicate that the vehicle lost control and overturned onto the westbound lanes.
The logs noted that a female passenger in the vehicle was severely injured, showing signs of bleeding and difficulty breathing.
Emergency services responded, and one person was confirmed deceased at the scene. The coroner was notified to respond.
Currently, the cause of the accident remains under investigation by the CHP. The identity of the deceased individual is pending notification of next of kin.
