One person airlifted after rollover crash in Lucerne Valley

LUCERNE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) — One person was airlifted following a rollover crash in the town of Lucerne Valley Sunday night.

The single-vehicle rollover crash was reported at 8:07 pm, along State Route 18 across from the Mitsubishi Cement Plant.

Firefighters with San Bernardino County Fire arrived on scene and located a pickup truck on its side with one occupant trapped inside and requiring extrication.

County Fire Helicopter H325 was requested and landed at Pioneer Park to airlift the patient classified as “immediate’, scanner traffic reported.

According to CHP incident logs, SR-18 was closed in both directions for approximately 30 minutes while emergency personnel worked at the scene.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. No other injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
