One Ejected After Two Semi Trucks Collide on Highway 395

HESPERIA:(VVNG.com)- One man was ejected and suffered serious injuries when two semi-tractor trailers collided head-on on Highway 395 just south of Phelan Road. On Thursday, December 17th at about 5:30 p.m. emergency personnel was dispatched to the major injury and major damage traffic collision.
Upon arrival, they located the two semi-tractor trailers and one man lying on the roadway. The major damage traffic collision caused the motor of the semi-tractor trailer’s to detached from the motor mount due to the force of the two colliding. Approximately 50 gallons of diesel fuel spilled, flowing onto both the dirt and the roadway.
Highway 395 was closed both north and southbound from Main Street (Phelan Road) to Poplar Street for an unknown duration.
One was transported by ground ambulance to a landing zone at the Hesperia Fire Department located on Caliente Road where he was subsequently airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for treatment of major injuries. No other injuries were reported as a result of the collision.
