One Dead, One Injured After Double Shooting In Adelanto

ADELANTO, Calif. (VVNG.com) One person was shot dead and another person was airlifted with a gunshot wound Friday night.
The shooting occurred on the 15000 block of Christopher Street near Spring Street at approximately 8:23 p.m.
A male passenger in a white 2005 Chrysler 300 was fatally wounded while sitting inside the parked vehicle outside a residence, and another man sustained a gunshot wound and was transported to a hospital with unknown injuries.
According to scanner traffic, more than a dozen rounds of gunshots were heard immediately followed by screaming.
The driver-side door of the Chrysler was riddled with bullet holes, and the driver and passenger side windows were shot out.
Family members began arriving on scene and wailing was heard as they learned the fate of the deceased.
A suspect(s) description was not immediately available and it’s unclear if it was a drive-by shooting.
The roadway will be closed for several hours into the early morning while detectives begin their investigation.
