APPLE VALLEY-(VVNG.com): A pedestrian was struck in the area of Sitting Bull Road just east of Choco Road in Apple Valley. The unidentified victim was struck by a vehicle just before 10:55 P.M., on Saturday, April 11, 2015.
Per scanner traffic, the driver reported stopping due to feeling that she had hit something in the roadway.
“There were people, possibly the occupants of the vehicle. They were crying on the side of the road,” said a witness. An airship was requested to transport the victim with serious injuries. Rapid Sequence Intubation (RSI), which includes general anesthesia and introduction of a plastic tube into the windpipe to maintain the airway opening and administer drugs as needed.
The roadway was closed on Sitting Bull Road just after Choco Road to Rincon Road for an unknown duration.
