Not Guilty Plea in Officer Involved Hit-and-Run

VICTORVILLE-(VVNG.com): On Saturday, January 3rd a San Bernardino County Sheriff deputy stopped to make contact with two male pedestrians walking in the area of La Paz Drive and Pamela Street. One of the two males, according to San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Public Information officer, Jodi Miller, had appeared to be under the influence. Upon making contact with the pedestrians, they began to run causing the deputy to chase the two men.
During the chase the deputy was hit by a white sedan driven by a woman. The vehicle did not stop after hitting the deputy and continued on. The injured deputy was transported to a local hospital for treatment and was released. Both men were detained, but at this time there is no information as to if either have been arrested.
Tiffany Garcia, 27 was detained the following morning and was later arrested for attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer and a hit and run.
Garcia appeared via video for an arraignment at the San Bernardino Superior Court in Victorville, where she pleaded not guilty to all charges. Garcia is currently being held at the West Valley Detention Center on $500,000 bail.
