Nearly 100 Homes Lost to Blue Cut Fire

(VVNG.com)- Authorities announced Friday that a total of 96 homes have been lost as a result of the Blue Cut Fire.
Over 200 outbuilding and numerous vehicles were also destroyed by the fire that’s already scorched 58 square miles.
The fire has burned 37,000 acres and firefighters have raised the containment to 26%, according to San Bernardino National Forrest.
Effective Friday, August 19, at 1:00 p.m., the mandatory evacuation orders for residents west of Baldy Mesa Road to Wilson Ranch Road south of Phelan Road to Mission Street affected by the Blue Cut Fire will be lifted.
Baldy Mesa Road south of Phelan Road will re-open. Eastbound Hwy138 from I-15 to Summit Valley will also re-open.
