CAJON PASS, Calif. (VVNG.com) — California Highway Patrol officers temporarily stopped traffic on the northbound I-15 freeway due to a truck fire here Monday.
At about 11:09 am, 911 dispatch received reports of a Uhaul pick-up truck on fire along the right shoulder of the freeway between Oak Hill Road and Highway 138.
Per the logs, the occupants exited the vehicle and flames were coming from underneath the truck.
The winds pushed the flames into nearby dry brush causing the fire to spread into the vegetation.
The smoke is impacting the traffic on the northbound I-15 freeway near the incident.
Fire crews have requested CalTrans to cone-off at least the truck lane.
