VICTOR VALLEY-(VVNG.com): The National Weather Service in San Diego issued a severe thunderstorm warning for San Bernardino County until 4:45 p.m. on Thursday, October 15th. The warning was issued at 4:03 p.m. when reports of quarter size hail were received from areas just north of Apple Valley. The storm, located near Apple Valley is producing strong winds estimated at 30 miles per hour.
The NWS lists impacted areas as: Victorville, Apple Valley, the areas of the i-15 between Victorville and Barstow, Northern Lucerne Valley, Highway 247 between Lucerne Valley and Barstow, Helendale and Oro Grande.
The NWS warns to remain or retreat to an indoor location. When driving beware of quickly flooding roads and do not drive on roads covered by water. It is difficult to determine water depth, so proceed with caution crossing what can appear to only be a shallow collection of water.
