LAS VEGAS (VVNG.com) Police are investigating a deadly active shooting incident that occurred near the Mandalay Bay Casino in Las Vegas Nevada, in which early reports confirm two people are dead.
Social media exploded with videos taken during the Route 91 Harvest Country Music Festival in which rapid gunfire can be heard blaring through the vulnerable crowd, at least 50 rounds can be heard.
Curtis Longo, a resident of Oregon, told a news station that the headliner singer Jason Aldean was more than half-way through his performance when the gunfire broke out.
Initial reports say 24 people are confirmed injured, 12 of those people are said to be in critical condition, and two are confirmed dead. University Medical Center is the primary hospital where victims are being transported to for treatment.
As a precaution, McCarran International Airport is diverting flights that were scheduled to land in Las Vegas, with some of those flights being diverted to the Ontario International Airport.
Initial, unconfirmed reports, said two shooters were on the 30th floor of the Mandalay Bay shooting down into the crowd of concert-goers.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said in a Tweet one suspect is confirmed down at this time.
Officials are urging people to stay out of the area. This is a developing story.
