VVNG- Listen up potential prudes. If you are easily offended, stay away from this movie… If you don’t know the difference between real violence and made-up violence, stay away from this movie… If you have a tendency to judge others and think that you are better than them for whatever reason.. that is not cool… stay away from me… and also from this movie, because you will most likely hate it more than you hate tolerance. Now, if you liked the first Deadpool and/or are in the mood to laugh your bum off watching this insanely action-packed film that has as much humor as it does heart, then DON’T stay away from this movie. Head to the theater and fall in love (again) with the foul mouth, chimichanga eating, sword-wielding, insult spitting, fourth wall breaking, avocado-face, superhero in his second, insanely violent and shockingly hysterical, flick, PRONTO!
Deadpool is back and he is as sarcastic as ever. This time around, he is on a mission to protect a mutant kid who is the target of a time-traveling badass named Cable.
I give Deadpool 2, the “Checky™ Seal of Approval!”. Kudos to the creative geniuses, and everyone else involved with this action-comedy-”family” flick, for putting forth their “Maximum Effort” and being able to make (fake) murder, (fake) violence, and (fake) mayhem absolutely hilarious and completely entertaining. Of course, this is not just a two-hour typical sequel full of blood and jokes, it is as great, and contains just as much humor, heart, action, and cleverness, as the first Deadpool.
I especially enjoyed how nobody is safe from Deadpool and his quick-witted insults. Since he is able to break the fourth wall and address the audience directly, his jokes are not limited to whatever is contained within his own movie. He is able to make fun of anything and anyone he pleases. This is a huge reason why this character is so unique and why the movie is so freaking hilarious. You are never expecting what he is going to say or do next.
So, eat your chimichangas, hire a babysitter, and go check this movie out in theaters. It will help you forget all of the real violence and problems that currently exist in our lovely world. As long as you turn off the part of your brain that will most likely keep telling you that you should not be laughing as hard as you are at all the death and destruction in this movie, you will undoubtedly have a great time watching The Merc with a Mouth, take down some baddies, both physically and verbally, in this immensely entertaining flick with lots of emotional moments, exceptional cinematography, top-notch special effects, over-the-top action, and a great story that starts off at an average speed of ten jokes per minute and never slows down.
What did you think of Deadpool 2? Do you agree or disagree with me? Which flick are you checking out this week? Let me know in the comments below. Have a great day at the movies and don’t forget to save me some popcorn.
Official synopsis: Wisecracking mercenary Deadpool joins forces with three mutants — Bedlam, Shatterstar and Domino — to protect a boy from the all-powerful Cable.
