MOVIE REVIEW: Action, Humor and Heart are Nicely Woven into Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse

VVNG- Do you remember that one commercial where a guy is sitting on a chair while listening to very loud music and the speakers are emitting so much sound that his hair, clothes and drink are literally being blown away? That’s exactly how I felt during this movie!… Well, actually, I was wearing a hat while watching this flick so I can’t say that my hair was moving, but my eyeballs sure as heck were. They seemed like they were moving a mile a minute trying to keep up with all of the vibrant colors and frenetic action emitting from this sensational animated flick. I felt like I was watching those Saturday morning cartoons I used to happily wake up for as a little niño. The movie was so full of energy that I couldn’t do anything but sit back and enjoy all of the web-slinging, wall-crawling awesomeness that was exploding out of the screen and (figuratively) blowing me away.

Miles Morales is an average teenager who loves Spider-Man (the Peter Parker Spider-Man we all know and love) until he gets bitten by a radioactive spider himself and gets superpowers of his own. While he’s trying to come to grips with his newfound abilities, a portal to other dimensions has opened up and transported five Spider-Men from other universes, into our world. Will all of these Spider-Men be enough to defeat a group of baddies and get home safely?… Don’t ask me. You have to go watch this dazzling film to find out.

I give Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, the “Checky™ Seal of Approval!” If you’re thinking: “Oh no, not another Spider-Man!”, Don’t worry, because it’s actually another FIVE Spider-MEN, and they are all really great characters that you are going to love. And you don’t even have to be a fan of Spidey to enjoy this film. There’s plenty of spectacular action, hilarious humor, genuine heart, wonderful character development, eye-popping visuals, and smart twists to keep you entertained. Plus, it’s all drawn in a unique form of animation that you will surely admire.

You should definitely tangle all of your family together and swing on over to the theater to watch this flick. Just make sure you take a tiny nap before the movie starts because as soon as the credits begin, your eyes are going to be getting a hardcore workout during this marvelous film’s entire runtime.
