I-15 Freeway Slowed Northbound and Southbound Due to Multi-Vehicle Collision and Vehicle Fire

CAJON PASS-(VVNG.com):  The Cajon Pass is experiencing some delays both northbound and southbound due to a vehicle fire and a multi-vehicle traffic collision.

 

At approximately 11:19 a.m. on Thursday, June 11th dispatch received a report of a motorhome on fire in the area of the I-15 north, just north of the Cajon Scales. The older model motorhome, was reported to be on the right hand side of the road. Motorhome was pulling a car trailer with a van and was showing flames from the underside.
All occupants were helped out of the motorhome to safety. The #3 lane of traffic is blocked by the disabled vehicle and a sigalert has issued. A tow truck is enroute to clear lanes.  There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident. The cause of the fire at this time is unknown.

lane of traffic. Several vehicles were pulled over to the right side, per CHP logs including a Nissan Altima and a black pick up truck.
The collision involved 4-5 vehicles with minor to moderate property damage as well as minor to moderate injuries. Although all vehicles were reported to be on the right side of the roadway, commuters are experiencing delays from Oak Hill to the escape ramp.
