Motorcylist airlifted after slamming into car making U-turn in Hesperia

HESPERIA, Calif. ( — A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash Tuesday morning after slamming into a car making a U-turn.

It happened at about 6:17 am on July 2, 2019, near the intersection of Santa Fe Avenue and Ranchero Road in Hesperia.

Sheriff’s spokesman Edgar Moran said the crash happened when a white Chevrolet Camaro traveling north on Santa Fe Avenue made a u-turn in front of a motorcyclist traveling in the same direction.

Moran said the u-turn caused the motorcycle to collide with the driver side door of the Camaro.

“The motorcycle rider had a complaint of pain to his whole body and was airlifted to a hospital down the hill,” stated Moran.

The official cause of the accident remains under investigation by the Hesperia Sheriff’s Station. No other injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
