Motorcyclist killed in Saturday afternoon crash on highway 138

PINON HILLS, Calif. (VVNG.com) A motorcyclist was killed in a traffic collision along State Route 138 Saturday afternoon.
According to CHP incident logs, the crash was reported as a solo motorcycle crash at 2:10 p.m., near Oasis Road in Pinon Hills.
San Bernardino County Firefighters initially requested an air ambulance to transport the rider, minutes later the request was canceled. The rider was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash temporarily closed Highway 138 in both directions for approximately 30 minutes. Eastbound lanes were reopened as of 2:50 pm, CHP logs showed.
Officials are waiting for the San Bernardino County Coroners to respond to the scene.
