Motorcyclist killed on Amethyst Road ID’d as Shan Dee Quick, 51, of Victorville

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A man struck and killed while pushing his motorcycle was identified by the San Bernardino County Coroners Office as Shan Dee Quick, 51, a resident of Victorville.
It happened at about 10:21 pm, on Friday, October 5, 2018, in the 13000 block of Amethyst Road, near Dry Creek Road.
According to sheriff’s news release, the rider, Shan Dee Quick, was pushing his disabled 1985 Honda VF1100C Magna v65 motorcycle in the number one lane of Amethyst Road when he was struck by a northbound 2003 Toyota Avalon.
Quick suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by firefighters with San Bernardino County Fire. The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene of the crash and cooperated with investigators.
No charges have been filed and alcohol or drugs were ruled out as a possible contributing factor. The cause of the fatal crash remains under investigation by the Victorville Police Department. Anyone with information is asked to call (760)241-2911.
