Motorcyclist injured in a collision Tuesday in Hesperia on Ranchero Road

HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A 62-year-old motorcycle rider was injured in a crash that involved a vehicle here Tuesday.

According to San Bernardino County Fire Spokesman Eric Sherwin, the call was reported at approximately 12:38 p.m., on Ranchero Road just east of Mariposa Road.

San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived on scene and confirmed a 2011 Toyota Camry and 2016 Harley Davidson motorcycle were involved in the collision.

The driver of the Camry remained on scene.

“The Camry was eastbound and stopped due to traffic conditions ahead of him. The motorcycle was behind the Camry and failed to stop. The motorcycle then rear-ended the Camry which caused the motorcycle to drive off the roadway causing the rider to be ejected,” Hesperia Sheriff’s Media Relations Officer Edgar Moran told Victor Valley News.

“The motorcycle and the rider came to rest on the south-east dirt shoulder easement. The motorcycle rider was transported by ground to a medical center down the hill for a leg injury,” Moran said.
